Three Men Injured in Alexandria’s Arlandria Neighborhood Shooting; Suspects Remain at Large
ALEXANDRIA, Virginia — A community is on edge after a shooting Sunday night in Alexandria’s Arlandria neighborhood left three men injured and sparked an intensive police investigation.
According to the Alexandria Police Department (APD), officers were dispatched just after 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025, to reports of gunfire in the vicinity of West Glebe Road, Notabene Drive, and Old Dominion Boulevard. Upon arrival, authorities discovered three male victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
All three victims were quickly transported to area hospitals. Their current conditions have not been released by officials, though police say all received immediate medical attention. No fatalities have been reported as of early Monday.
Witnesses in the neighborhood described a sudden and terrifying outburst of violence.
“I heard what sounded like five or six quick shots,” said one resident, speaking to ALXnow. “It all happened so fast, and then there were sirens everywhere.”
Eyewitness accounts suggest the gunfire erupted in a matter of seconds. One witness reported seeing a man in a full-face black ski mask near the intersection of Old Dominion Boulevard and Four Mile Road just moments before shots rang out.
“I didn’t think anything about it except for the mask,” the witness recalled. “Now, it all makes sense. It’s scary.”
Authorities have released limited information regarding the suspects, describing them only as Hispanic males wearing masks. No additional identifying features, vehicle descriptions, or possible motives have been disclosed.
One of the victims reportedly sustained a gunshot wound to the back, though further details on the nature and severity of injuries are pending official updates.
The Alexandria Police Department continues to actively investigate the shooting, canvassing the area for surveillance footage, interviewing witnesses, and seeking any information that could help locate the individuals responsible. Investigators are urging anyone who may have seen suspicious activity or has footage from the area to come forward.
Community members are asked to contact the APD non-emergency line at 703-746-4444. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
The shooting marks another troubling incident in a neighborhood that, while typically known for its vibrant culture and close-knit community, has recently faced growing concerns about public safety.
Officials emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time but encouraged residents to remain vigilant.
As the investigation unfolds, authorities are committed to providing further updates and ensuring the community’s safety.
