28-Year-Old Arrested After Shooting in Northeast Philadelphia Leaves Teen and Adult Injured

A violent dispute in Northeast Philadelphia escalated into a shooting Saturday evening, leaving a teenager and an adult man wounded and prompting the arrest of a 28-year-old suspect.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 7100 block of Lynford Street around 7:00 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds: a 14-year-old boy and a 33-year-old man.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the shooting stemmed from an argument between adults at the scene. Authorities have not yet specified what the argument was about, but it quickly turned violent, culminating in gunfire that injured both the teenager and the adult male.

Emergency crews transported both victims to nearby hospitals.
